Before starting the canning process, it is necessary to clean both the container and the lid. The rim dimensions allow easy hand insertion for thorough sanitation.
Glass container: Dishwasher safe.
Lid: BPA-free. Hand wash with a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive sponges.
The hermetic seal is guaranteed only for the first use of the lid.
After the initial vacuum canning process, the lid can be reused as a standard container closure but cannot be used again for vacuum canning, as the hermetic seal is not guaranteed after the first use.
Do not use the lid if it has dents, deformations, rust, or corrosion.
